Theta Santa Quest Adventure
UI Design | Digital Marketing | Gamified Experience
“This project reminded me that joy is a design principle too — and that collaboration can be quietly revolutionary.”

The annual Christmas Prize Draw campaign is Theta’s way of showing appreciation to clients, and it has been running every year since 2020. Originally launched as “SantaBot,” the experience has evolved into a fully-fledged digital marketing activation.
In 2024, the team brought the holiday spirit to life through a whimsical “Santa Quest Adventure” — a digital advent-style experience with instant-win games and a major prize draw.

This year’s experience merged the excitement of an advent calendar with gamified elements and guaranteed daily prizes. Clients could participate in the game, find hidden items, and instantly win small rewards — while also being entered into a grand prize draw.
The campaign featured:
A festive, interactive website experience
Custom UI components and illustrations
Clear user flows and form design
Front-end development for seamless interactions

As the UI Designer, I collaborated with our marketing team, UX/UI designers, and developers to shape the visual direction and bring the experience to life. My contributions included:
Supporting art direction and refining design concepts
Designing the interface and interactions for the game experience
Applying a festive, on-brand look while ensuring clarity and responsiveness
Working closely with front-end developers to deliver polished, high-quality visuals

This project was a reminder of what true collaboration can achieve. Working in a small team with a clear vision and shared enthusiasm, we were able to design, build, and launch a complete festive game experience within a tight timeframe and a traditionally conservative environment.
Navigating creative constraints and differing expectations required diplomacy, determination, and trust in each other’s skills. But the unified energy of the team helped shift perspectives, lift the mood, and bring a touch of joy into the workday — for us and for those who played.
This project reinforced how much I value purposeful collaboration, creative problem-solving, and finding light even in rigid structures.
